“Rip my chest wide open. Expose my heart of stone. Make me last forever and burn my demon horde. Take my silver an make it into dust… gold to water… inverted alchemy.”
Since the appearance of Endtime's “In the Shadow of Death: A Scandinavian Extreme Music Compilation” there’s been a blizzard of interest in Vardoger. The frosty and virtually obscured Norwegian band's contribution to the compilation entitled “Footprints of Thunder” spun a web of classical symphonies and traditional folk studded with the beautiful anger of atmospheric black metal. With that special Scandinavian sadness added, their music was so powerful that you couldn’t help wondering what else Vardoger had released. The answer was NONE, and that only made the band even more interesting. Finally the wait is over! This is simply an amazing album beyond the shadow of a doubt! Another classic piece of Scandinavian metal that must not be passed up! In the caliber of other releases by the likes of Vaakevandring, Antestor, Crimson Moonlight, Immortal Souls, Borgazur, and Slechtvalk, Vardoger is deemed as one of the most coveted productions in Nordic metal history.
Incase you were not aware… Whitefrozen will be played throughout the Heavens at the midnight hour of eternity, forever! O’ Lord let it be so!
“We are transient shadows. Serpents, the least among men, but still our names are Aionios. They’re graven with an iron pen.”
“Open up, let Him in so that you can be a radical son in the battle for truth… growing up to be more like the King. What is it that you fear…?”
Lyrics from “Inferno”, “Foot Prints of Thunder”, and “Silent Witness”
